Eintracht Frankfurt's forward, Filip Kramarić, and defender, Daniel Baumgartner, scored crucial goals as TSG Hoffenheim staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
The match was a tense affair with both teams creating numerous chances throughout the game. However, it was Eintracht Frankfurt who took the lead through a well-taken goal from Kramarić in the 44th minute. The Croatian striker capitalised on a defensive mistake by Hoffenheim to volley past their goalkeeper.
However, Hoffenheim were not done yet as they fought back and levelled the scores in the second half thanks to a stunning strike from substitute, Romain Hamouma. The Frenchman's shot deflected off the wall and looped into the top corner of the net.
With the score tied at 1-1, Eintracht Frankfurt came close to winning the match when they had a penalty awarded for handball, but the decision was overturned after review. However, it did not matter as Eintracht Frankfurt went down to 10 men shortly after as defender, Timo Werner, received a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Hoffenheim's midfielder, Benjamin Braithwaite.
Hoffenheim then took advantage of the numerical advantage and scored a late winner through Hamouma's header. It was a thrilling finish to a closely contested match that saw both sides fight hard for their place in the top six.
