Ramsey's 'Nice Beat' Defeats Boudaoui in Champions League Round of 16, the English Premier League club Nice have reached the round of 16 of the Champions League for the first time in their history after defeating Moroccan side Boudaoui 2-0.
The match took place at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Tuesday night and was a tight affair from start to finish, with both teams creating chances but failing to convert them into goals.
However, it was Nice who eventually came out on top thanks to two goals from substitute midfielder Benjamin Mendy.
Mendy's first goal came in the 44th minute when he scored a stunning volley from outside the box that flew past Boudaoui's goalkeeper.
And Mendy's second goal came in the 77th minute when he converted a penalty following a handball by Boudaoui's defender.
Despite losing 2-0, Boudaoui did well to create some chances throughout the match and they will be disappointed not to take anything away from the game.
Overall, it was a good result for Nice as they progress to the next round of the Champions League and look set to make a big impact in Europe this season.
