Brighton and Hove Albion have announced that their player Allister Halliday has signed a new contract with the club until 2027.

The defender, who joined the Seagulls in 2018 from Wigan Athletic, has been a regular member of the first team since then, making over 90 appearances for the club so far.

Allister Halliday is one of the most promising young defenders in English football and his signing is a major boost for Brighton and Hove Albion. He has shown great promise during his time at the club and it is clear that he will continue to develop under the guidance of the coaching staff.

The club's manager, Chris Hughton, praised Allister Halliday for his commitment to the club and expressed his delight at extending his contract until 2027.

Halliday said: "I am delighted to sign this new contract with Brighton and Hove Albion. It is an exciting time for the club and I am looking forward to continuing my development here."

Hughton added: "We are delighted to extend Allister's contract until 2027. He has made a significant contribution to our team and we are confident that he will continue to perform at a high level for us in the years ahead."
