The French capital city, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has managed to keep its head above water with a draw against another top team, the Ligue 1 champions, Lyon.
Lyon have been a strong contender for the title this season and they certainly proved their mettle when they came out on top at Stade de France last weekend.
However, PSG was able to take advantage of the fact that Lyon were already well into the match after the break and scored twice in the second half to secure a point.
Despite the result, PSG's manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is pleased with his side's performance and believes that it is a positive step forward from the team's recent struggles.
"I'm really proud of my players," he said. "They showed some great qualities against Lyon, especially in the second half."
PSG will now look to continue their strong run in the league as they face off against fellow strugglers, Monaco on Sunday. The two teams meet again in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue next month.
Overall, PSG's win over Lyon is a positive sign for the club's overall form and suggests that they remain a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming season.
